Interior and space design

I create well-functioning and uplifting spaces for my clients to thrive. Imagine falling in love with your space every day! Effective and easy-to-use, every aspect of your daily life "streamlined" allowing you to concentrate on what you love to do. I use biophilic design to open the connection to the healing nature.

Serving both residential and commercial clients, I assess the current usability and can often create new looks by using what you have.

Functionality consultation

I provide suggestions and resources for adding functionality when you are settled in your space but need more out of it, or when life changes but you don't want to move, and especially when considering aging-in-place solutions. I have the talent and experience in creating usability without compromising esthetics and how to make even the smallest spaces work.

Sustainability consultation

Sustainability comes in many forms and provides healthier solutions for everyday life. I offer recommendations on how to change your habits and your space to promote your health and well-being. There are plenty of small, simple ways to bring in sustainability, as well as larger budget renovations/changes.

DIY Design consultation

Are you a do-it-yourself type? Get into the "doing" part with the knowledge that the results will be worth your time. We will talk about what changes are needed in your space and how you can achieve that. I can recommend resources to you when a professional is required. I also serve house-hunters considering the not-so-perfect options and provide ideas on how to turn a fixer into a dream home..

As one of Portland’s innovative designers, I have a talent for space; I see it, I feel it, I visualize how it can function. I sense how the space can better support you. My impressions give life to the design I envision for your home or business.

My ideas of sustainability include utilizing items and furniture you already own and adding only what is necessary. I create spaces for you that have the natural connection that is so important for general health and well-being. In my opinion, your space should inspire you and support how you live and work best.

Busy lives are stressful, so it’s important to live and work in spaces that can infuse you with tranquility and renewed energy. It is my greatest pleasure to see the change in my clients after their spaces are transformed to reflect their aspirations and how it promotes the collective well-being.

Having lived most of my life in Finland and Sweden, the Nordic design style combining natural beauty and efficient organization is a part of my identity. I have a degree in textile design and have studied Feng Shui and Indigenous traditions regarding spaces in the search of fulfilling my life purpose. I use my experience and knowledge in designing natural, healthy and sustainable spaces, promoting the spiritual connection between you and your space.
